3D Decorated notepad

If you want to give a gift that lasts the whole year, then make this Decorated Notepad. Every time they use the Pad, they’ll see your message, and when they turn it over, they’ll read your personal note. Plus, they can easily add a new Pad when needed. All in all, this makes an extraordinary “whole year” gift!

1. Fold Pad Base; burnish creases with Bone Folder.
2. Attach Merlot CS square to the front of Pad with Seal; add square DSP with Seal.
3. Stamp flowers on random pages of Sticky Pad with Saffron ink. Add Pad to Base with Tear & Tape.
4. Attach DSP strip to Merlot CS strip with Seal; add to Saffron CS square with Seal. Place Saffron CS, so DSP/CS strip is at the top; use Merlot ink to stamp sentiment just below the strip. Attach to inside “top” panel of Base.
5. With front (large DSP/Merlot CS) facing you, wrap Ribbon from front to inside covering Saffron CS and back to front; tie a small knot. Secure with Glue Dots as needed.
6. Stamp flower twice on White CS square with Saffron ink, stamping off each time. Stamp sentiment with Merlot ink. Add personal note then attach to back of Base with Seal.

My beautiful granddaughter’s graduation picture

Well, it’s been a sometimes difficult trip to get my granddaughter Jordyn Lynn to graduation day, but at last, we are there. May 20th, 2021 will watch her get her diploma. She had her senior pictures taken, and this is one of the 25 we picked out. I am so proud of her for her ADD and Anxiety issues; she did it—way to go, Jordyn Lynn.

Gift Box

Did you know that in many cultures, the Ladybug represents love, prosperity, and good luck? When I found that out, I knew I had to add one to the Tag on my friend’s gift. I picked the “sweet friend” sentiment today and our Acetate Box as it’s the perfect size for the gift I’m giving. With any of the other six sentiments in this set, I’ll be ready to decorate more Acetate Boxes for all my gift-giving needs … PERFECT!

TECHNIQUE – Gift Card Holder Base

1. Fold Card Base on score lines; burnish fold with Bone Folder. Set aside.
2. Use your Sponge and Saffron ink to darken the GC Holder CS. Sponge around the edges until it’s pretty dark, then Sponge a little color in the middle but don’t make it as dark as the edges. (See Photo 1). Round two corners with Trio Punch.
NOTE: Notice those three little dark spots in Photo 1? That’s where my fingernail poked through the Sponge! When that happens, don’t panic; just change add a strip of paper to cover it!
3. On the back of the Holder, add Tear & Tape to the left, lower, and right edges. (See Photo 2). Adhere to inside of left panel of Card Base placing so rounded corners are closest to the scoreline. (See Photo 3).

Make Your Card
1. Complete TECHNIQUE using Saffron Card Base and Card Holder pieces with Saffron ink.
2. Cut Tear & Tape lengthwise (into a very narrow piece) and attach to the Foil strip and DSP strip. Add these two pieces to Card Holder. Refer to Photo 3 for placement.
3. Round opposite corners of DSP with Trio punch. Adhere to Meadow CS with Seal. Wrap layer with Ribbon, securing on front and back with Glue Dots; add slip knot. Adhere layer to Card Base with Seal.
4. Attach Foil to Merlot CS with Tear & Tape; add Card Base to Foil with Tear & Tape.
5. When ready, stamp a sentiment inside Card Base with Meadow ink.
6. Decorate the Envelope if you choose.

Upcoming Facebook Live

I want you all to watch out for my upcoming Facebook live. Thinking maybe April 8th, 2021 sounds like a good day to start; LOL I look forward to seeing you on April 8th, 2021, at 5 o’clock Mountain time. Question for today; Do you like punches or dies?

Monthly “Ask Me”

On the 1st of every month I thought it would be fun to ask questions about card making. This month’s focus is on Easter cards.

  1. How many Easter cards do you make each year?
  2. What is your go-to supply when you make Easter cards?
  3. What is your favorite stamp set for Easter cards?
  4. What is your go-to color combination for Easter Cards?
  5. Have you ever thought about selling your Easter cards?

Now for my answers;

  1. I make about 15-20 in a year
  2. Pastel paper
  3. This year the bunnies from oval occasions
  4. Pinks and purple
  5. Yes, I do sell some of my cards to friends

Well now it’s your turn tell us about your Easter cards.

April Fools Day

No, it’s not April fools. I have been back at Stampin’ Up! for a year and starting from scratch in a new state and new people. I want to give a big shout-out to the customers that found me online. I’m so glad to be your demonstrator. I love making your thank you card each month and sending out small gifts from me to you thanking you for your orders.

Thank you, Renae, for the gift bag, and greatly thank you for the card. I loved it all. Remember, I am here for any of your stamping or papercraft needs and to help with any question and to teach you new techniques. Starting April 6th, 2021, I will be going on to Facebook Live to show you paper-crafting ideas and many different stamping techniques. So join me Tuesday, April 6th, 2021, 5 PM MT time.

Remember to be kind as this is my first live video, and it will all be new to me. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well, but if not, I know you will all be with me to help me learn the steps. See you Tuesday evening!

Question for today;

Do you prefer punches or dies in your papercrafting?
